WetlandsBrazil, Chile, Bolivia, and Paraguay all boast some form of wetland in their rainforests, be it swamp, bog, or marsh. The largest wetland in the world, the Pantanal, is located in Brazil.

StreamsStreams are common throughout the rainforest. They are great sources of water for land animals that do not live close enough to a river. Streams also host a few fishes.

RiversThe Amazon River, the largest and second-longest river in the world, runs through the rainforest of the same name. Rivers throughout rainforests provide water for land animals and a habitat for a wide variety of animals. For example, two endemic species of freshwater dolphin, the Amazon river dolphin and the tucuxi, live in the Amazon and Orinoco rivers.
